A total of 180 people have been screened of various ailments by the Kintampo Business Centre of Asa Savings and Loans.
The medical screening which was done by staff of the Kintampo Municipal Hospital, comprises ailments including hepatitis B, blood pressure, blood glucose and malaria.
The Head of Medical Team and Principal Medical Lab Technician, Abigail Sarpomaa Akenten, who supervised the exercise, explained that it was important for individuals to check their health regularly in order to live healthily.
After the screening, patients who tested positive for malaria were given treatment whiles those who tested positive for hepatitis B, high blood pressure and glucose, were referred to the hospital for treatment.
Asa Savings and Loans as part of the exercise, also provided free mosquito nets to beneficiaries.
The Kintampo Area Manager of Asa, Mr. Seth Morgan, and Branch Manager, Mr. Anthony Tuoriong, both said the company would continue to extend such good gesture to people within its operational areas in order to empower them medically.
According to them, Asa Savings and Loans sees its customers and clients as partners rather than business associates.
