Asa Savings and Loans holds mass medical screening in Kasoa, Swedru


A total of 411 people have been medically screened by the Kasoa Kakraba Branch of Asa Savings and Loans and the Swedru Branch of the company.

A total of 195 people were medically examined and were screened of various ailments including eye defects, weight check, blood pressure, pulse, malaria, hepatitis B and glucose.

A senior biomedical scientist, Felix K. Sarbah, who supervised the exercise said the patients cooperated during the screening and said the activity was successful.

He commended staff of Asa Savings and Loans for being present at the event to give confidence to the patients.

“Most of the participants at the Kasoa branch were interested in the special service (eye screening) and making inquiry on Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) screening.

In subsequent screening we recommend management consider the service of ear doctor” he added.
At the Swedru branch, a total of 216 people were medically examined of same ailments mentioned above.

Mr Sarbah who again supervised the screening at Swedru, commended Asa Savings and Loans for contributing massively to impact the lives of people in areas the company operates.



The Kasoa Newtown Branch Manageress of Asa Savings and Loans, Atikatu Adam said the company would continue to extend such good gesture to people within its operational areas in order to empower them medically.

The Agona Swedru Branch Manager of Asa Savings and Loans and Area Manager of Swedru, Prince Nana Gyasi and Alam Safiul Mohammed, said the Swedru Branch will continuously embark on such initiatives to impact the lives of people in the company’s catchment areas.
