Christmas: Grateful Givers Foundation fetes patients at Korle-Bu

The Grateful Givers Foundation has brought joy to children and parents who, due to illness, were unable to celebrate the festival with their family at home and were confined to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

For the past six years, the Grateful Givers Foundation has consistently made substantial donations to a minimum of two healthcare facilities annually.

According to Maame Akosua Serwaa Gyening, the Founder of the Grateful Givers Foundation, this project was inspired by her time as a Nurse at the Children’s Block of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. She observed that some parents and their children were unable to participate in the Christmas Celebration because of their children’s health conditions.
The decoration and painting of the block for the event started on the 24th Dec at Korle-Bu.

“I was happy to participate in the decoration. I feel so happy,” one parent told our journalist, Ebenezer Madugu

On the 25th Dec, the main event was held.

Over five hundred individuals were offered a variety of meals, including Jollof rice, Waakye, Apapransa, and other dishes, along with beverages.

The youngsters experienced immense delight from the face painting, engaging in play as if they were in the comfort of their own homes.

Maame Akosua Serwaa Gyening conveyed her appreciation to all individuals who assisted in this endeavor, particularly Mr. Edward Boateng, the initiator of the EKB Foundation.

Shere thus implored all Ghanaians, particularly Christians, to bear in mind the destitute, specifically those in the hospital.

“If we lack the necessary resources to physically visit them, I implore you to engage in prayer on their behalf,” she advocated

The Parents commended and blessed the Grateful Givers Foundation for the kind gesture.
