Christian Atsu's room detected as search and rescue team continue to find him

The search and rescue operation to find Ghana international Christian Atsu has been intensified.

No one has heard from the Black Stars forward since last Monday when the devastating earthquake hit Turkey and Syria.

In Turkey, one of the cities affected was Hatay. It is in the province where Christian Atsu’s club, Hatayspor is based.

Unfortunately, the Ghana winger was affected by the earthquake recorded at a magnitude of 7.8.

The storey building housing Christian Atsu’s apartment collapsed after the earthquake, trapping several people including the player and other teammates as well as club sporting director Taner Savut.
After six days of continuous searching, rescuers are now entering the 9th floor of Christian Atsu’s apartment after Miners managed to create a pathway through the 8th floor.

Reports in Turkey suggest that the search and rescue operation is now being fast-tracked to bring out all affected persons including Ghana forward.

Isaac Twasam, brother of Christian Atsu, and his agent, Nana Sechere are in Turkey hoping to hear the good news that the player has been rescued alive in the next few hours.
