Former black Starlets Keeper Owusu Banahene Cries For Help In Prison

Ex Ghana Black Starlets keeper Maxwell Owusu Banahene is locked up in remand at the Kumasi Central Prisons agead of a possible jail sentence.

Banahene, who was the first choice goalkeeper when Ghana finished 3rd at the U17 World Cup in New Zealand has spent several months remand as he cannot afford 6000 Ghana cedis to get out on bail as the case pends.

The former Ghana youth goalkeeper is said to have allegedly defrauded a woman sums of money under the pretext of sending her abroad

Banahene in an interview with Crime Check Foundation insists someone just used his name and account to defraud the woman as he is not into fraud.

In a conversation with Crime Check, the players mother Eno Serwaa also said she is sure her son is innocent

She also mentioned that her son is poor and doesn’t have any money anywhere so Ghanaians should kindly come to his aid by contributing for the 6000 to be paid.
