Hearts of Oak awarded GHS50,000 for winning 2023 presidents Cup

Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have been awarded cash sums for their performances in the 2023 President’s Cup.

The President’s Cup was played in honour of the President of the Republic Akufo-Addo and also served as a Week 20 encounter of the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

After a closely contested game between the two teams, Hearts of Oak emerged as winners with a narrow 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko.

As a result, Hearts of Oak have been awarded GHS50,000 as their cash prize, while Asante Kotoko will receive GHS20,000 for their efforts.

In addition to the cash rewards, Hearts of Oak’s win means that the team has earned three points in Week 20 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, moving them up to 4th place on the Ghana Premier League standings.
