How I dated my 48-year-old girlfriend because she wanted a child, but ended up killing her - Suspect confesses

A 31-year-old man has told BBC News Pidgin today, how he used a pestle to kill his lover, 48-year-old Ijeoma Phillis Chimboli to avoid her marriage proposal. The suspect, Edeh Tochukwu Christian, a native of Nara Unateze, Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, claimed that his lover, Ijeoma Phillis Chimboli, was too old for marriage.

While speaking in an interview on Sunday, the suspect narrated he met his 48-year-old girlfriend on Facebook and after they had some conversation together, they both decided to date because the deceased told him that she needed him to bore her a child and also because she was in love with her.
As time went by, they both moved together to live in one apartment together and the deceased was the one taking good care of the suspect because she was richer than him.

The suspect while further speaking disclosed that the deceased used to take good care of him and there was a time that she was even giving him N100,000 allowances every month to keep up with the house and get some things that were needed in the house.
But unfortunately, it got to a point that the suspect could not meet up with his expectations again, and Ijeoma started giving him attitude in the house and stopped giving Christian any money again.

Edeh Christian Tochukwu noted that at this point, the deceased turned him into a house help and he was made to do all the house chores in the house.
Regarding the deceased's personality, the suspect said, "I will not lie, she was a good person who often buys anything that will make me look good. She is into a business related to fashion."
Explaining how the deceased died, Edeh Christian Tochukwu said, "when we were having a misunderstanding, I asked her for the key but she refused to give it to me. She went inside, brought a pestle and used it to hit me. I reflexively hit her in return at the back of her head and she fell and started crying. She died later."
