I Didn't Stop Working With Feli Nuna, She Was Not Patient Enough - Fuse ODG

Ghanaian British Afrobeats music, Nana Richard Abiona, better known as Fuse ODG has opened up about the reason why Feli Nuna left his Off Da Ground Records label.

Setting the record straight, Fuse ODG revealed that despite making giant strides in her career during her time with him, Feli Nuna was not patient enough to work and see the fruits of her labour

Speaking to Giovani Caleb and AJ Sarpong on the 3FM Drive, the Off Da Ground Records boss said that contrary to the perception in the public domain, he did not initiate the termination of their work relationship; rather, it was the opposite.

“I did not stop working with Feli. I felt she could be more patient. She just wanted to see quicker results and we had just been working for a year. So like I’m saying you can’t expect things to just like in a year. Yeah. Gotta be patient but keep pushing,” he explained

The label signing between Fuse ODG and Feli Nuna saw the two collaborate on her popular hit single, ‘Towel,’ as well as the viral #TowelChallenge that caused a frenzy on social media

The “Antenna” singer who has signed on his new artiste, Left Tizzle refuted the claim that Towel was a failed experiment. According to him, the challenge pushed the song to the top and created a lot of awareness for Feli’s brand.

“Did you hear the song?? I feel like a lot of people heard the song because of that campaign. I feel like that was what really pushed the awareness of the song,” he said

Further dispelling any negative perceptions, the singer said Feli Nuna was comfortable with the projects they worked on, but she wanted faster results as opposed to the trajectory he was working on.

“No…She had a great time. I think it’s more her wanting more too quick for my pace. But I can understand from her perspective as well. Remember Feli’s been in the game for a while so she wants it now,” he indicated.

The record label boss is currently in Ghana working on new sounds and promotions with his latest signee as part of his project to showcase Ghanaian talent to the world.
