I Never Wanted To Go Into Ministry,I Wanted To Go Into Business - Bishop Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, has revealed that it was not his initial desire to go into ministry. He shared this during his sermon at the Easter Youth Alive Convention, as he preached a message on the importance of vision.

He explained that the future of any individual will be bright only if he follows God's plan and not his plan. He shared that God showed him from Jeremiah 29:11 from the Revised Standard Version, that the future and a hope is in following the plans of God, not your skills or ambitions.

He then shared that all his life, he wanted to go into business. His goal was to be blessed so much by God, that he would afford to contribute to the expansion of the kingdom with his resources

"I never wanted to go into ministry. I wanted to go into business. My heart was God bless me so much so I can contribute to the expansion of your kingdom," he said

"God saw my heart, but that was not his plan for me. Tell me which business I can do that will bless me the way God has blessed me today? And I still contribute to the expansion of his kingdom. The other day I signed for the building of 100 churches at once. Which business would have made me able to do that? I am at the centre of the centre of the centre of God's will for my life," he said

He encouraged his congregation not to go for something because everybody is going for it, or because they're comparing themselves with other people. He told them that their plans will eternally be inferior to the plans of God for them, and they should seek it for themselves and walk in it.
