I lost my leg through a road accident the day I buried my husband after he was killed in a war

A lady from the Democratic Republic of Congo Painfully narrated how she lost her leg the day she buried her husband after they were involved in an accident on their way back home.

They had just fled from the region where they were born due to war. The area they settled in had no job opportunities which made her husband go back to their home where they had fled in search of employment.

After one she received the bad news that her husband was among the people who were killed by the attackers. They planned for his burial together with the family members.

It was hard for her since he left her with 6 children and was 2 months pregnant. After burying her husband in a public cemetery they boarded the car back home.

They were involved in an accident where several people lost their lives while many others including her lost body parts that left them disabled. She now stays at home which makes it hard for them to put food on the table.

They survive on well-wishers but most of the time they sleep hungry. She is urging well-wishers to support them start a business and buy her a wheelchair.
