"If not for the Bible in my car, the bullet fired by the bandits will have pierced my heart" - Man reveals

Many hours ago, Vanguard Newspaper reported that the Former Representative of the Umunneochi constituency in Abia state, Honorable Ikedi Ezekwesiri, recounted how he survived being killed by bandits while returning from Enugu state.

The former lawmaker said, "if not for the bible in my (car's) dashboard, the bullet fired by the bandits will have pierced my heart." He added, "on that day I was with my 11-year-old son inside my Prado jeep. My advice now is that those who are not taking worshipping God seriously should start doing so because he was the only one who rescued me from the claws of death."

The former lawmaker said before he got attacked that day, he was at a police checkpoint where he even tipped them for being under the sun.

Shortly after that, the lawmaker, who is still receiving treatment at a hospital, said some hoodlums ran towards his car and started attacking him. According to him, a military checkpoint was where he later stopped accelerating his vehicle after escaping the attack scene.

Lastly, the former lawmaker hopes the state government does the needful to ensure the roads are not only in good condition but also secure for users.
