Taking to social media, Native Son Now, revealed that Frank Watson has passed away and cause of death hasn’t been ascertained at the moment of filing the report.

Today we are mourning A Good One — one of our own!

Frank Watson was a light! He created community and safer spaces for Black gay/queer men to exist in our fullness and experience Black Boy Joy together! It was his positive energy, smile, and love that made us all feel at home.

“We were already grieving the violence and violation of @clubqcoloradosprings and now THIS! Our safe spaces are sacred to the LGBTQ community. These are the places and spaces that we can be our true selves — a place to be free. Frank’s death hurts, just like the shooting in Colorado Springs hurts — it’s traumatic especially during this season of Thanksgiving.

“Frank, we thank you for holding space for us. We now hold space for your beloved memory, for blessing us with shelter, and for lighting up our world on purpose.
