My Heart Was Broken - Singer Efya Reveals Why She Has Been Away From The Music Space

Award-winning Ghanaian songstress, Efya Nokturnal has opened up about her protracted break from music and her inconsistent release schedule.

In a recent interview on 3FM’s “Urban Blend” with AJ Sarpong, Efya revealed that her lack of singing during the past couple of years was due to a broken heart.

According to Efya, her emotional health has a huge impact on her creativity and as a result, she chooses to stay out of the public eye rather than confront her misery through music.

“I was heartbroken that I didn’t want to sing

You know I’m a baby girl so the way I feel matters to me a lot and it wasn’t something I wanted to deal with at that time.
