Pastor Kumuyi Warns Believers Against The Inability To Cater For Their Family Members

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his members on, "Working With His Resurrection Power" at the Revival Session at the ongoing 2023 Easter Retreat.

In one of his subtopics, he spoke about, "The Assigned Work For All The Brethren" and gives warning to Believers against the inability to cater for the members of their family. He said that for anyone called a child of God, a born again brother and sister, there is an assigned work. You must understand that the Lord expects that you will have work to do to feed your family, to feed and educate your children and make it in life so that you are not a parasite to others. You must be doing something, not going from house to house, begging and asking for support. 

He then said that if you say you are born again but you have nothing you are doing to take care of your family, you must begin today and be the breadwinner of your family. Apollos preached the word of God boldly in the synagogue based on what he knew, but Aquila and Priscilla, tent-makers by occupation took him unto themselves and expounded to him the way of God more perfectly. They didn't say because they were teachers of the word, the brethren will take care of their family. That is not the plan of God. The plan of God is that you as a man will be the breadwinner and take care of your family."

Still on the warning, he said, "You will not distribute your children to go live here and there because you have no work and have no way to pay rent and school fees, then you send your wife to her parents in the village while you stay in the city preaching and working for God. That kind of work is not recognized in heaven, bring your family together and take care of them.
