Presbyterian Church Supports Science Lab Projects At PRESEC

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has presented a GH300,000 cheque to the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) at Legon in Accra in support of three science laboratory projects at the school.

The Moderator of the PCG’s General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, reiterated the church’s commitment to its educational institutions and said that other institutions of the church have received similar support at a ceremony held in Accra on Wednesday 1st March 2023 at the Head Office of the PCG to present the cheque to the Headmaster of the school, Mr. David Odjidja.

He also promised that similar financial assistance would be provided to others in the future.

Rt. Rev. Prof. Mante said PRESEC is currently one of the best SHS schools in the country, therefore everything possible would be done to continue to improve upon academic standards.

He, therefore, urged the headmaster and staff of the school not to rest on their oars but work hard at all times to stay at the top.

The Headmaster of the school Mr. David Odjidja thanked the Church for the donation and promised to use it for the intended purpose.
PRESEC is the only school in Ghana to win the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition seven times.

Present at the ceremony were Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, Clerk of the General Assembly of the PCG, and the General Manager of the Presbyterian Schools who double as Director of Education at the Head Office of the Church.
