Residents from KZN assaulted 2 ladies after they were allegedly caught stealing

Two alleged criminals were disciplined by residents in Port Shepstone (KwaZulu-Natal Province) after they were caught pick pocketing, the video of the incident has went viral on social media and has received a lot of reactions from South Africans.

On the video footage uploaded by Flyingnewslive facebook page today, Friday, 9 December 2022 a group of individuals can be seen beating two females who were sitting on the ground with a sjambok while a crowd was cheering them on to "teach them a lesson".
Many South Africans on social media gave their opinion on the matter and these were some of their comments:
David Masina wrote "Well done community, they have learned a good lesson"
Zenzele Xulu wrote "Good, that's the only thing we can do to clean our country since we have a criminal government that won't do anything"

Krishen Mahadwa wrote "Well done community of Port Shepstone!!"
Lopez Molaba wrote "Community rehabilitation, We are used to it being received by men"
