She received a call and later was found killed | Check how she died that left many heartbroken

According to Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, UN under-secretary general and executive director of UN Women, "on average, 137 women are slain by a member of their own family every day."

These shocking statistics are just one of the numerous effects of gender-based violence and abuse, including domestic abuse, which is defined as a pattern of behaviour employed in any relationship to acquire or maintain power over an intimate partner.

Domestic abuse can include sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological acts or threats, in addition to physical violence, experts say.

The majority of these actions or threats frequently escalate to severe physical aggression. It is one of the most prevalent forms of violence that women encounter globally.

Speaking of violence against females it is a growing pandemic, which brings me to this young lady who received a call on Saturday and left the house and never came back, only to be found at the taxi stop with 20 stab wounds.
