The happiest day of my life was when my husband died, he used to maltreat and beat me - Lady reveals

When a spouse or family member passes away, many people cry and feel depressed, but Margaret claims that she was ecstatic and thrilled after her husband passed away. She said that the spouse had treated her badly and had brutally beaten her. Her marriage wasn't happy, and neither was she.

In the county of Nyandarua, she was born and nurtured. Due to financial issues, she chose not to enrol in high school after completing her primary education. In Naivasha town, where she later met her husband and married him at age 15, she obtained a job as a housekeeper.

She was insulted and physically assaulted by her husband after giving birth to their first child. After giving birth, he didn't give her time to recover. He stopped showing up for work and turned became a professional alcoholic. Additionally, he stopped supporting the family.
After giving birth to five children, Margaret began working odd jobs to pay for food and her rent. Her spouse hadn't changed; he continued to abuse her. She attempted to leave the marriage several times, but each time the husband followed her and threatened to kill her if she didn't let him stay.

She would spend all day and night in prayer for her spouse to pass away so she could be at ease. When she offered him food, he couldn't eat it because they had stopped talking to one another. She asked him whether she was unwell after two days, but he didn't respond.
She left and went to work as usual the next day. At around 1 o'clock, her landlady called and when she got home, she discovered police officers. She discovered her spouse dead when they opened the door. It was determined following the postmortem that he passed away from liver illness.

Margaret claimed that despite all the suffering he had caused her, he was content and didn't even bother to show up at his funeral. In her marriage, she has never been content. She has pushed couples to get along nicely.
