What I Told A President Who Said He Does Not Give Me Money Because I Don't Ask - Pastor Adeboye

Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God spoke to his members at their March Special Holy Ghost Service. He spoke about why we need to get intimate with God if we need breakthrough and told a story of what he told a president who said that he dies not give him money because he doesn't ask.

He said, "Several years ago, i was talking with a former president of our nation. He was a very close friend to me and we were fond of eachother. I then said to him, "You were president of Nigeria, and I have never owed you a naira. You have never given me a naira. He then looked at me and said, "You never asked" and I told him, "Friends do not ask. If we are friends, I don't need to ask you. It is the duty of a friend to give to a friend."

"I then said that if I have a girlfriend and her birthday comes and o didn't give her anything, and she asked me why I haven't given her anything on her birthday and I say that it's because she did not ask, it is telling her that our relationship is over."

He then said that if you become intimate with God, if you become his friends, friends don't lack anything, so you will never lack anything.
