Why I slapped my stepfather after he punished me - lady narrates

"My name is Yaa Pokua. I have lived with my father and stepmother since childhood. I never knew it was Maame Jemima who gave birth to me. My dad lied to me that she was my aunt when we visit her in our hometown. A few months ago, I fell ill and was hospitalized."

"Maame Jemima came to see me in the hospital but she told me the truth that I am her daughter. My father was very angry with her for telling me the truth. Since that day I got the urge to meet my mother, and then I asked my father to allow me to go and live with my mother."

"Even though my father didn't listen to me, I started being rude to him. I left home without my father's knowledge and moved in with my biological mother. At first, everything seemed fine for me at my mother's house, but life got tough for me after she started abusing me and pretending that I was a stubborn child.
One evening my stepfather punished me in front of our neighbours, I felt ashamed and I slapped him for disgracing me in public. I was asked to apologise to my stepdad after this incident but they never treated me well."

A week ago my mother sacked me from the house after accusing me of gossiping about her.

I have become homeless and can't go back to my father's house too because of how I left his house.
