Check Out the Only Month in Ghana Blessed with Three (3) Public Holidays

A public holiday, national holiday, or legal holiday is a holiday generally established by law and is usually a non-working day during the year. Sovereign nations and territories observe holidays based on events of significance to their history, such as the National Day.

In total we have thirteen (13) statutory public holidays in Ghana. “December” is the only month in Ghana with three public holidays. The month is blessed to have three public holidays in it.

#1. Farmers Day
The Farmers day is a day used to remember the toil and hard work of Ghanaian farmers. It is celebrated on the first Friday of every December. It will be celebrated on Friday, 2nd December this year.

#2. Boxing Day
This is a public holiday which is celebrated not only in Ghana but most parts of the world. It is celebrated on 26th December each year.

#3. Christmas Day
This is a celebrated by Christians to remember the birth of Jesus Christ (but the question is Jesus Christ really born on 25th December?).

It is celebrated on 25th December each year. This year's Christmas day will happen on Sunday. For this reason, it will be celebrated on the next day which is 26th December, 2022.
