The implementation of the Electronic Transaction Levy (E-levy) started on May 1 2022, as announced by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA). This caused anger in frustration on social media as some complain about being deducted the lowest amount they send and thus, the e-levy applies regardless of the amount you send.
Kwame Asare Obeng (A Plus) is a hip life artist with a keen interest in politics and social issues.
According to him, Ghanaians should stop whining about the E-levy and expect the Government to deliver what it has promised with the monies.
For him, the E-levy policy has already been passed and that nothing can be done about it.
He mentioned many roads in his neighborhood, suggesting that the E-levy funds would be utilized to build them.
However, he added that Ghanaians should give the Government an ultimatum over the E-levy fund promises, and that if the Government fails to deliver, they should speak up as much as they can.
