Flooding in some parts of Accra and other places in Ghana has become the top issue most Ghanaians complain about during the rainy season. Some believe the Government is not doing their work well because most of the drains we have in our cities are smaller and chocked by erosion.
On the other hand, some individuals also intentionally dumped refuse in these few drains we have in our communities and later it will become choked and the water can't pass through when it rains.
As a result, flooding has become the major issue Ghanaians go through during rainy seasons.
But, who should be blamed? Government or Ghanaians in general?
Most of the places in Accra got flooded such as: Kasoa, Kaneshie, Teshie, Tse-Addo, Dansoman, Tesano, Kwame Nkrumah Interchange (Circle), Adabraka, and Asylum Down amongst others, were heavily hit by the floods.
The floodwaters displaced many and destroyed properties of several residents and companies in the affected areas.
