The National Teaching Council (NTC), organizers of the Ghana Teacher Prize, on Monday, February 07, 2022 officially opened the portal for applications and nominations for the 2022 Ghana Teacher Prize.

The NTC organizers of the Ghana Teacher Prize, on Monday, 7th February, 2022 officially opened the portal for applications and nominations for the 2022 Ghana Teacher Prize for qualified GES staff.

Objective of The Ghana Teacher Prize

According to the Management of the National Teaching Council, the objective of the Ghana Teacher Prize is to motivate teachers for higher performance and also boost the respect for the profession.
The Prize underscores the importance of the teaching profession and symbolizes the fact that teachers throughout the world deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

Teaching Category of Ghana Teacher Prize

The ultimate prize is open to all professionally trained teachers currently working at the pre-tertiary education space (both public and private) and have taught for at least five (5) years.



Non-Teaching Category of Ghana Teacher Prize

The non-teaching category is open to all who are currently working at the pre-tertiary education institution (both public and private) and might have worked for at least five (5) years.

Introduction of New Category for Ghana Teacher Prize

A new category has been introduced to acknowledge the critical role of teachers in educational leadership and administration. To qualify for this, one must be a professionally trained teacher currently working at the pre-tertiary education space (both public and private) and might have worked as a leader or an administrator for at least five (5) years.
