Partey's Team Mate in Arsenal Is Set to Join the Black Stars Squad Soon

English - born Ghanaian forward/striker Eddie Nketiah is on course, preparing to switch allegiance from England to Ghana.

Edward Keddar Nketiah is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League Club Arsenal. Nketiah is a product of the Chelsea and Arsenal academies and played on loan at Leeds United in their victorious 2019–20 Championship season.

According to report by Sports Brief the Arsenal forward/striker is said to be interested in representing after the Black Stars qualified for the World Cup. Eddie Nketiah reportedly turned down a call up from then Ghana manager James Kwesi Appiah to the senior Ghana national side in January 2019 and also in August 2020 when Ghana reportedly approached Nketiah again, making contact with his family and speaking with his parents in an attempt to persuade him to switch allegiance to Ghana.

However, Thomas Partey convinces Eddie Nketiah to play for Ghana Black Stars. The deputy captain Thomas Partey charged Eddie Nketiah to make a decision on his international future by choosing Ghana. In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the Arsnela midfielder told his teammate it's time to play for the Black Stars.

His playing style has severally been compared to former Arsenal striker Ian Wright for his pace and movement and to Jermain Defoe, due to his sharp shooting ability from all angles. Nketiah can play as a striker or as a wide forward, with Nketiah describing his own playing style as "I'm a striker, I'm brave, I like to put myself in the places where the chances are going to fall".

Nketiah was crowned the top scorer’s accolade in the recently ended Carabao Cup in England with five goals.
