Why Is Theresa Abebrese One of the Most Loved and Popular Among Daddy Lumba’s Hit Songs

Theresa is one of the most loved and critically acclaimed songs by legendary Ghanaian singer Daddy Lumba.

The song, which was released in 1990, from the Obi Ate Meso Bo album (DL’s first solo album), and was dedicated to the late Theresa Abebrese, an ex-girlfriend of Lumba during their time in Juaben Senior High School.

According to Daddy Lumba, Theresa Abebrese was his first ever girlfriend, and it was through her he was able to travel to Germany to seek greener pastures.

Theresa Abebrese was reportedly very caring. She supported Lumba in so many ways.
Unfortunately, Daddy Lumba and Theresa Abebrese never settled to marry as couple. The reason behind their separation was unknown to the public.

Sadly, Theresa passed away in 2017 at the age of 53 years.

Check out the lyrics of Theresa below:

Women such as Theresa Abebrese in Daddy Lumba’s song are virtuous women worth emulating.

Therefore, men need to appreciate women who have worked hard for them or who are struggling with them in life.
