Prampram Traditional Area performs 'Hue mi yami' ritual

Prampram Traditional Area performed 'Hue mi yami' ritual setting the pace for Kpledomi Festival 2023.

The ritual which took place Monday, 17th April 2023, is a prerequisite ritual paving the way for the customs and traditions in regards to the annual Kpledomi Festival.

The ritual is preformed to bind and strengthen societal order particularly.

It also marks the ban on drumming and noise making within the Prampram Traditional Area.

Present at the event is the Paramount Chief of Prampram Traditional Area, Nene Tetteh Waka ll, Naa Osabu Abbey I (Paramount Queen mother of Prampram), Numo Teye Larbi Osabu Abbey III (Stool father of Prampram), Okyeame Tsoakon (Linguists), Nii Nartey IV (Maklalo Setse of Obonu wem), Numo Lartey Ayiku II (Laakpleh Setse of the Laakpleh Division), Asafoatse Djanban IV of Osheku Wem, Asafoatse Lartey Bantama IV of Agbazo Wem, Asafoatse Totemeh of Kley Tsokunya, among others.

The Traditional (Ritual) setup made up of the Naa Lalue and Lalua Larbia, all priests and priestesses of the various shrines with the clans and sub clans were dueling present.



Naa Sadoniki (Asafoanyɛ of Keneshie), Original Nii Martey Laryea I (Teshie Gbugblah Oblahiia Mantse) together with acting Atofotse, Numo Agbaa and their entire entourage were also present to participate in this sacred rites.
