Hon. Rev. Jeffery Annoh Acquah extends warm greetings to the esteemed citizens of Newsite as he wraps up 2023, in a press statement expressing gratitude for the support that made him the Youngest Assemblymember in the history of Atimatim Newsite.

Hey, As he reflects on the Christmas season, he urges unity among fellow assembly members and the community at large to collectively build a stronger and greater Newsite in the coming year.

Below is his statement

NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM
HON. REV. JEFFERY ANNOH ACQUAH (Hon. Jeff)
(NEWLY ELECTED ASSEMBLYMEMBER FOR ATIMATIM EAST ELECTORAL AREA)
Good morning fellow Newsite Citizens. As 2023 draws to an end, I take much pleasure in sending out to your heartiest good wishes and warm season greetings. Thank God for seeing us through 2023.
At Christmas, we reflect on the humble, symbolic and divine birth of Jesus Christ. In addition, we reflect on his message of hope, compassion, salvation, reconciliation, forgiveness and peace.
Thank you all for your love, care, support, time and prayers, without it I wouldn’t have made history as the Youngest Assemblymember in the record books of Atimatim Newsite.
Moreover, special thanks go to the aspirant assembly members who competed with me on the 19th of December 2023. I know you were having good plans and agendas for Newsite, so I want us to unite to build Newsite together. I also congratulate the newly elected Unit Committee members and those who couldn’t make it for the Unit Committee office to join hands, come on board and help develop Newsite.
All those who voted for me and those who did not vote let us all unite to uphold Newsite and make it great and strong.
No partisanship in my reign, let’s be one.
My appreciation to the Kings and Queens for establishing Newsite for us to settle as our home. Not forgetting the landlords, churches, mosques, stakeholders and opinion leaders for helping me to this point, all that I am saying is “Akpe” meaning Thank you. I love you all, special rulers of Bronkon, Abuakwa, Patasi, Ataffua and Dome of Newsite. All hands must be on deck to revive the community.
As we prepare to usher in the New Year, let those of us who are privileged to witness the drawing of the New Year, give praise and thanks to the Almighty for His many blessings bestowed upon us as a community and a people.

THE WAY FORWARD
1. AssemblymanOffice
I will be creating an office for Assembly members which will help all Assemblymembers that will come in future to get an office for a perfect work. (all complains or problems will be reported to this office for easy solution)
2. Streetlights
All streetlights that will come from the District Assembly is not going to be at the one place but will be spread across board to all areas. Different ways will also be considered if District Assembly supply is delayed.
3. VolunteerCommittee
The Volunteer Committee is going to be restarted for the sake of our security as a community. Bank accounts will be opened for all monies collected to run the volunteers’ activities.
4. Regular Community Meetings and Interaction
As ways and means to hear the plights and thoughts of the whole Atimatim Newsite community, there would be regular community interaction among the members of the assembly and people. This will bring a harmony and improve overall commitment towards developing Atimatim Newsite.
5. CommunalLabor
This will be held the last Sunday of every month. This can be complemented by working alongside with institutions like Zoomlion Ghana and other bodies to keep Atimatim Newsite clean.
6. National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)
Arrangements have been put in place to bring the NHIS staff to be visiting the community on regular basis to register, to issue and to renew expired NHIS cards and to replace lost NHIS cards.
Free health screening will be organized every six (6) months in the community
Lastly, let us all unite to develop our electoral area/community for the betterment of all.

Happy New Year
AFENHYIA PA.
