Feyenoord Captain Orkun Kokcu Has Decided Not To Wear The Rainbow Armband.

Orkun Kokcu, the captain of Feyenoord, has made the decision not to wear the rainbow armband for his team's Eredivisie match against AZ Alkmaar on Sunday afternoon. The match is scheduled to take place.

The Turkey international shed some light on the situation, "I have made up my mind that I will not be sporting the rainbow captain's armband during this particular match.

"I believe it is essential to stress that I accept everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, cultural backgrounds, or personal preferences. My point of view is that everyone should be able to act or feel whichever they like.

I am completely aware of the significance of this action; nevertheless, due to the fact that I hold certain religious beliefs, I do not believe that I am the appropriate person to support this.

"Because of this, I don't think it's appropriate for me to wear the captain's armband. I can understand why this might make some individuals feel let down.

Although I am aware that it is possible that I will not be able to quickly be able to remove that sensation with these words, please know that that is not my objective.

On the other hand, I really hope that my decision, which I made for religious reasons, will be recognized."
