Sad News Hits Ghana As School Bus Carrying About 50 Pupils Involved In A Terrible Accident

There was a terrible accident involving a school bus with about 50 kids on it. Six of the kids have been confirmed to have died.

Some children on a school bus with about 50 students in the Ahafo Region’s Tano North Municipality are said to have died after a terrible accident.

A Facebook post by Andy Frimpong Manso says that the fatal accident took place on the Terchire-Adrobaa Road.

In a caption that went with a video, he said that several other people had been seriously hurt.

“A fatal accident happened on the Terchire-Adrobaa Road in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region, where about 50 students were on a school bus.


“6 children are known to be dead, several others are in very bad shape, and a few are still missing,” he wrote.

The Facebook user also said that the bus driver was going too fast on a road that was still being built, which led to the accident.

“I’ve heard that the driver was going too fast, even though the road was under construction and the first layer of surface dressing (Prima seal) was being put down.

“In these kinds of places, drivers are told to be careful because of the chippings and how slippery they could be.


“Sources say he didn’t listen to any warnings, even from school kids who told him to slow down,” he said.
It’s not clear when the event took place, but Andy Frimpong Manso posted about it on Friday, November 11, 2022.

But the police haven’t said anything about it yet.
