Zidane Reveals His First Encounter With Lionel Messi

Football legend Zidane in an interview discloses his first encounter with Lionel Messi and how he felt after playing with him.

“In the years 2004-2005 we were going to go to the Camp Nou to play the Clásico against Barça, our concern was only players like Ronaldinho, Deco, Xavi and Eto’o… But Ronaldo told us that his only worry was a 16 year old kid called Messi, he said he was afraid of this kid, but we didn’t know him, we all said that Ronaldo was praising him only because they are both Latinos.

Once on the field we dominated Barça totally, but as soon as Rijkaard brought that kid on the field, the kid turned the game around they had totally dominated us, he played like a robot, he won every duel he had until he got a penalty for Ronaldinho and they equalized.

On the way back to the bus, not only Ronaldo, everyone was talking about the performance of this 16 year old kid who wanted to destroy us.
