Issah Mohammed Bataglia files nominations to contest Sissala East seat

Parliamentary Candidate hopeful for the Sissala East Constituency, Hon. Issah Mohammed Bataglia has filed his forms to contest for the seat in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries slated for May 13, 2023.
The 2020 NDC Parliamentary aspirant was accompanied by a sizeable number of supporters to submit his forms at the constituency office in Tumu.
According to reports, Hon. Bataglia was confident in his chances of winning the party primary and eventually taking the seat from the NPP in the 2024 elections.
"Hon. Mohammed Bataglia is effective in manifesting his vision because he creates specific, achievable goals, initiates action, and enlists the participation of others.
His best trait is his ability to listen to the vision and dreams of the youth in his constituents and helps them translate these visions and dreams into achievements or achievable objectives. Such a listening character is what the Sissala East needs as our next MP." - Secretary Youth Movement for JM & BATAGLIA Sissala East.

The Sissala East seat is currently occupied by the NPP Hon. Amidu Chinnia Issahaku. The NDC is poised to take over the seat from the NPP come December 2024.
Sissala East Municipal District is one of the eleven districts in Upper West Region, Ghana.
Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Sissala District in 1988; until the western part of the district was later split off to create Sissala West District in July 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Sissala East District, which it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018 to become Sissala East Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northeast/eastern part of Upper West Region and has Tumu as its capital town.
