Sissala East Mp, Amidu Chinnia cut sod for the reconstruction of Tumu water system

MP for Sissala East and Deputy Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Hon. Amidu Issahaku Chinnia has cut sod for the reconstruction of the Tumu Water system.
This event took place in Tumu on Friday, December 16, 2022. During the presentation, the project is expected to cost 18,070,103.03 Ghana cedis and cater to 15,000 households for the next 30 years.
Hon Amidu Chinnia stated;
"Today I joined the MCE, The regional director of CWSA and his staff, the representative of Tumu Kuoru, the landlord and elders of Tumu, and women among other people to hand over the site for the construction of Tumu water system.
The project will be done at a total cost of 18,070,103.03 Ghana cedis and the system when completed will supply water to the entire population in Tumu. The system has the capacity to serve over 15000 people in Tumu and take care of the population growth for the next 30 years.
The current pipe network in Tumu is about 7.3KM but the new project will give a pipe network of 28.33KM and this will supply water on a regular basis to the entire township. The project will also construct 20No standpipes fitted with smart meter water dispensers.


The project will see the installation of 2No submersible hybrid pumps with a complete Solar farms and ancillaries. The new project will also see to the construction of 2No 200m3 high-level tanks."
