A Female University Student Dismissed After She Canned Her Mates For Gossiping About Her

A female student at the University of Professional Studies in Accra was dismissed of the school after she was caught in a viral video whipping her fellow students. Mabel Teye-Nomo, well known as Queenstar, claimed that her two fellow students with whom she shared a hostel were spreading rumors that she was having an affair with some of the lectures in order to get good grades.

She caned them in front of the other students whilst it was being recorded. Social media users criticized the school for allowing such attitudes to persist after the video went viral. According to reports, the university authorities has dismissed Mabel from the school due her misconduct which has caused damaged to the reputation of the school.
