I Woke Up At Midnight And Found My Friend Raping Me- Lady Reveals In Court

In court, a young lady who was raped by her best friend described what happened that night. The lady's statement at the Harare Magistrate Court says that she went to the 19 Bachory Road in Mandara with her friend Denziel Chikore, had dinner and drinks there, and then went to her room and slept.

However, she didn't lock her door because her cousin would also be sleeping there. She awoke at midnight to discover that her friend Denziel stripped her naked and was raping her. She was shocked to find her trusted friend raping her, but she was unable to save herself till he left the room after he finished, and she slept until morning as well.

After that, she told her cousin. They reported the incident to the police station. The suspect was taken into custody, brought before the judge, convicted of defilement and given an eight-year prison sentence.
