Man plans to divorce his wife for refusal to conceive a fifth child

A Nigerian man has caused a backlash in his community after he threatened to divorce his wife because she refused to conceive a fifth child. A Facebook user named Imaan Mike Umoh shared this surprising incident on his page.

According to Umoh's post, the couple already had four children that they are having a hard time taking care of. However, the man insisted on giving birth to a fifth child and the woman refused to abide by the man's decision, which led to serious disagreements between them.

The man suspected his wife was using contraception to prevent pregnancy. He now plans to divorce his wife if she doesn't stop taking the pills and becomes pregnant for the fifth time.
