The lifeless body of an alleged cable vandal has been found hanging from an electric pole

An alleged power cable vandal reportedly died while trying to cut cables in the Ika North East local government area of ​​Delta State. In the accident that took place on Saturday 8 July 2023, the vandal was allegedly electrocuted around 3 in the morning.

According to reports, Algrarian residents woke up to find the man's lifeless body hanging from a double electric pole on a 33KVA transformer near the popular Afor market, Ute-Okpu. It was a little boy who was on his way to his village and saw the vandal's body for the first time and alerted the residents.

One of the residents revealed that the man's lifeless body was seen holding the electric cable, clearly indicating that he tried to cut the cable, but was not lucky and was electrocuted.
