Teachers in Ghana to Form Their Own Political Party.

Looking at how teachers are being disrespected, some group of teachers have put themselves together to form a political party. Though the name of the party has not yet being revealed officially but it has been given the name, "UPP". This is an abbreviation of Union Peoples Party. 283430

Teachers in Basic Schools as at 2020 amounted to over 283,430 excluding second cycle institutions.

There are about 14769 Junior High Schools, 981 Senior High Schools, 46 Colleges of Education, 79 Colleges of Nursing and 15 Universities. If teachers and lecturers of these listed education institutions including their non teaching staffs put themselves together, the total number will be a little bit closer to 1million.

If it happens that this idea of creating a political party for teachers in Ghana come to pass, we can see how this political party will overthrow all other political party.

Even though, some teachers and non teaching staffs may belong to a political party but it is obvious that they will join their own.

When it happens like this, there will be more vacancy to recruit people to occupy the positions of teachers and other non teaching staffs who will be appointed to work as ministers, MMDCEs and others.

Teachers are capable of influencing students from these education and nursing institutions and hence if it happens, victory will be in their side.

If we look at the number of students in the various educational institutions, we will not get less than 1million. Parents Teachers Association are also there to support such idea.

This will be a big blow to the leading political parties, NPP and NDC.
