'He is battling kidney disease, diabetes, stroke' - Actor Amaechi Muonagor’s cousin, cries out for help

Amaechi Muonagor, an actor who also happens to be Tony Oneweek's cousin, is fighting for his life and has appealed to Nigerians for support.

A few weeks ago, Kemi Filani revealed that Amaechi is presently suffering from paralysis due to a stroke.

The iconic actor was seen on the bed in a devastating video, explaining how his illness began and pleading with fans and colleagues to help.

He apologized to the people and asked for help, explaining why he had kept his health issue confidential.

The actor is currently fighting kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke, according to his cousin, who has updated the public on his condition and asked for help.

He said that in order to alleviate the paralysis caused by the stroke, Amaechi has been going to physiotherapy and dialysis every week.

Posting a picture of himself and the actor on the actor's sick bed, he continued, saying that up until his recent stroke, which forced him to ask for assistance, he had been paying the medical fees on his own.

"I visited my cousin Amaechi Monagor (Aguiyi) at the Nnewi Teaching Hospital two weeks ago, and that's when I took this image. At first, my intention was to provide as much silent support as possible, but I ultimately made the decision to write this message to shed light on a few points for the benefit of my friends, fans, and Amaechi's followers, as well as the larger online community.

Amaechi is currently suffering from a stroke, diabetes, and kidney problems. He had been enjoying his life and taking care of his diabetes over the years. He is currently receiving treatment at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, including weekly dialysis. His family had been paying for the expenses for many years, but after his stroke recently, his case became more serious and costly to pursue on its own, which is why it became public.

I have done and will continue to do all in my power to help as much as I can, even reaching out to kindhearted people who are making donations to this cause. I am not Amaechi's first cousin, unlike what you may read on most websites. We share the same father, his father and mine. As colleagues in the same field, we have a great rapport, and I am glad to call him "brother."

Amaechi has a huge following throughout the world, and his friends, admirers, and ndi Obosi have all been amazing thus far. Money for his hospital bills has been donated by other organizations. There has been some improvement as of late. Even though his blood sugar is under control, he continues to get weekly dialysis, physiotherapy, and other medical care. Sustained financing or donations are needed for his whole course of treatment and recuperation. Nothing is too little. Please remember to pray for Amaechi and his family. May God heal him completely.

Pls kindly donate to Amaechi Monagor’s First Bank plc account number 3036808437. God bless you now and always. Tony Oneweek Muonagor.”(sic)
