To chef Failatu, Afua Asantewaa lands in Temele.

In an effort to help Faila in her quest to shatter the record for the longest cooking marathon, Afua Asantewaa and her spouse traveled to Tamale on Thursday.
Currently, Chef Failatu is attempting to surpass the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon held by a single person.

She wants to beat the current record held by Irish Chef Alan Fisher, who did an amazing 119 hours and 57 minutes, by a whopping 120 hours, or over five days of nonstop cooking.

Madam Asantewaa was accompanied by her husband, who had just finished her attempt at a sing-a-thon.

Like the other Ghanaians present, they too experienced a taste of Chef Failatu's culinary prowess.

The mother of three said she had to come to support Chef Failatu because she understands that breaking the record is not easy.

“She is going through a lot, psychologically, mentally, physically- you have no idea. All this she is seeing is mind-blowing. She does not understand what is happening but all she knows is that she needs to be focused,” she said.


Madam Asantewaa said that although Chef Failatu did not fully understand what was happening, she was content to see the support Ghanaians gave, as it was a motivation to finish breaking the record and create another.

Chef Failatu commenced her marathon cooking session at midnight of January 1, 2024. She has since completed 90 hours
