JBLAQ, whose real name is Akwasi Akrofi Jr, is a young Ghanaian hip-hop musician based in the United States. He hails from Kwahu, a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

JBLAQ is the second son and a twin born to his parents, Emmanuel Akrofi (father) and Akua Saah (mother). The musician was born on December 19, 1999. He has always been the most musically inspired one.

His passion for music began at the early stage where he used to sing with every opportunity that came his way.

Educational Background

JBLAQ started his education at Mary Star of the Sea in Accra, Ghana. He continued his secondary education at the Ghana National College (GNC) and later attended Cheyney University in the United States.
