Afua Asantewaa is Appointed by the Government

Afua Owusu Asantewaa Aduonum, the young lady who set out to shatter the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual, is going to be named a Tourism Ambassador by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).The decision to name Afua Asantewaa a tourism ambassador acknowledges the beneficial effect her effort at a sing-a-thon has had on the nation's reputation.
This was revealed by a GTA member at the after-party at Accra's Akwaaba Village on Friday night in her honor. "You will be among those who promote to the world that there is a country named Ghana; it's a beautiful place to be, they have wonderful people who are resilient, tenacious, driven, and talented," the GTA member said.
Even after finishing a taxing five-day singing marathon, Afua Asantewaa looked lively and vivacious during her after-party.

She conveyed her gratitude to Ghanaians for their unwavering support."I had no idea it would turn out this way.
I remember thinking at one point that I may opt not to take on the challenge because you made it personal to you, and I knew I couldn't let you down.

All I can say is, "Thank you so much to the Ghana Music Industry and all the artists and celebrities who supported; your encouragement really did go a long way."
