Instrumentalist of the Year: The Remarkable Rise of Jorellomuziq

Abraham Owusu Amoah, better known to his fans and fellow musicians as Jorellomuziq, has been making waves in the music industry.

In 2023, he achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the Instrumentalist of the Year award at the Modern Gospel Awards (MOGA Awards). But Jorellomuziq's musical journey started long before this prestigious recognition.

Born to the talented musical duo of Samuel Tetteh Djangmah and Rosemond Ahenkorah, it's no surprise that Jorellomuziq inherited his musical genes.

Growing up in a household filled with the enchanting melodies of his parents, his passion for music was nurtured from a very young age.

His journey truly began in a mission house where he lived with his parents and was surrounded by musical luminaries such as Long John, Armaah Pino, and Obozz.

These seasoned musicians played a pivotal role in shaping Jorellomuziq's musical sensibilities, propelling him to the next level in his musical endeavors.

To further hone his craft, Jorellomuziq had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of renowned drum mentors like Paakow, Francis Osei, the late Evans Kuma, late Siisi Frank, and Frank Kissi. These mentors not only groomed him but also illuminated his path in the music industry.

Jorellomuziq's journey took a significant leap when he had the opportunity to perform alongside some of Ghana's biggest artists, including Sarkodie, Kofi Kinata, Shatta Wale, Okyeame Kwame, Samini, and Stonebwoy.

Among these experiences, one that stands out is his collaboration with former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, which pushed him to new heights in his career.

As his career progressed, Jorellomuziq had the privilege of working with exceptional bands and artists, such as Akwaboah, Hyskull Bandgh, Deepwave band, and Fatau Keita band. It was during this time that he clinched his first international award at the Festival MIA in 2016, a testament to his growing reputation as a musician of note.

Jorellomuziq's musical journey reached an international scale when he became a part of the renowned group "Sounds of Joy." This opportunity opened doors for him to tour the world, sharing his music with audiences on a global scale.

Looking ahead, Jorellomuziq is set to take his career to new heights as a solo artist. With an impressive journey that spans years of hard work, collaboration, and dedication to his craft, the future looks bright for this talented musician.

As he continues to evolve and create music that resonates with audiences worldwide, Jorellomuziq is undoubtedly a name to watch in the music industry.
