TEJIRI: HEADS TO 28th edition of RABAT INTERNATIONAL AUTHOR FILM FESTIVAL 2023, IN MOROCCO

"Tejiri" Selected for the 28th Rabat International Author Film Festival 2023.

The spotlight is set to shine on the thought-provoking cinematic masterpiece, "Tejiri", as it gets selected to be part of the prestigious 28th edition of the Rabat International Author Film Festival 2023 in Morocco.

Directed by Joshua Tsotso and Deladem Duvi, this captivating film delves deep into the realms of corruption, displacement, and the unwavering human spirit. It presents a powerful narrative where Tejiri, a displaced young man, is unjustly imprisoned for a crime he knows nothing about, uncovering a dark web of political intrigue.

The selection of "Tejiri" for the Rabat International Author Film Festival is a testament to its exceptional storytelling, captivating cinematography, and its ability to engage audiences at a profound level. The film's themes are universal, transcending boundaries and resonating with viewers from all walks of life.

Christine Boateng, one of the producers behind this cinematic gem, expressed her excitement about the film's selection, stating, "It's an honor to be a part of the Rabat International Author Film Festival. This festival is renowned for its commitment to showcasing unique cinematic experiences, making it the perfect stage for 'Tejiri.'"



“Tejiri”, is a Ghanaian-Nigerian collaborative project Produced by Christine Boateng and Abisola Aboaba, screenplay written by Daphne Atsuse, and Amarachi Nwaozuzu, and Directed by Joshua Tsotso and Deladem Duvi; Who are all alumni of the Multichoice Talent Factory, class of 2020. With stellar performances from Kofi Adu-Gyamfi, Brian Angels, Yvonne Maura Appiah, Bernard Kobina Acquah, Joe B. Youlo, Jay Garbrah, Emmanuel Opare, as well as Emmanuel Don Ziggy Netyson and many others.



Premiering as part of the festival’s African Cinema section, Tejiri, is the first Ghanaian film to be part of this prestigious festival. Other African films that have been part of the festival’s Africa cinema section include, the critically acclaimed Ivorian “Nights of Kings”, Sudan’s official first submission to the Oscars - You Will Die At Twenty, and others.



The 28th edition of Rabat International Author Film Festival started on the 10th of November and ends on the 17th of November in Rabat, Morocco. "Tejiri" is not just another film; it's a captivating journey into the depths of the human experience, and it's ready to captivate the hearts and minds of the festival's discerning audience.
