Obuobi, 65, was born on August 26, 1958 while his wife Christiana, also known as Auntie Christy, was born on September 9 of the same year. The couple tied the knot in the mid-1970s before relocating to California, USA to pursue better opportunities.

After settling in America, the Obuobis found success in business and trade. They raised three accomplished children while building a comfortable life abroad. However, Ghana remains close to their hearts.

Born in Kumasi, Afua Asantewaa was brought up in a loving Christian household by her devoted parents. Even after moving overseas, they maintained a close-knit bond with their daughter.
