Adam Amandi was a Ghanaian educationist, environmentalist, and politician. He was a founding member of the Northern People's Party and a member of parliament in 1954, 1957, and 1969 (the Busia administration).
He was born in Bawku in the Upper East region of Ghana in 1926. He attended the Government Teacher's Training College, Pusiga (Gbewaa College of Education) for his Teachers' Training Certificate Degree. He also obtained a Diploma in English from the Tamale College of Education, formerly the Government Teacher Training College, Tamale.
Politics
Adam Amandi was a member of the Progress Party and was a Minister of State between 1969 and 1972.
He died at the age of 92, on 21 February 2006 after a short illness.
