Anthony Baffoe is the Deputy General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football and a former Ghanaian international footballer.

He was born on May 25 1965 in, Bad Godesberg, Germany to a Ghanaian diplomat. He grew up near the former West German capital of Bonn and was well known in the 1980s in the Bundesliga and the favorite of the 1. FC Köln and Fortuna Düsseldorf.

He played on four different continents and spent the most part of his career in German First and Second Bundesliga, starting in 1983 at 1. FC Köln at the age of 18 and then moving 10 years later to join the French side, FC Metz. He was also one of the first black people to be recognized and appeared in the German Bundesliga. He played for seven clubs including spells in Hong Kong and Caracas as well as 74 German top-flight appearances for Köln and Düsseldorf.

He is the founder and General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana FIFPro Players' association and works in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association.

Anthony Baffoe was a Ghanaian expatriate player to play for the Black Stars and was capped 16 times for Ghana in 1992 and 1994 the African Cup of Nations.

He is the Deputy Secretary-General for Football and Development for (CAF).

Served on FIFA and CAF Football Committees and was an organizer of CAF and FIFA-sanctioned tournaments.

He was named in February 2006 by the Ghana national football team, the Director for International Relations.

Anthony Baffoe is a FIFA Ambassador for the campaign against racism, a FIFA ambassador for SOS Children's Village, and an ambassador for Play Soccer Ghana.

Anthony Baffoe is the brother of German actress Liz Baffoe, famous for her character in the German TV series Lindenstraße.

He is married to veteran Ghanaian actress, Kalsoume Sinare with whom he has three children Shaquille, Boukeem, and Keisheira.

Anthony Baffoe after his career used his position, status, and popularity to set up a TV magazine show devoted to youth football. He has also been successful on German television in various sports programs and the host of Viasat One's Uefa Champions League show in Ghana.
