Clifford Aboagye was born in Accra. He is a Ghanaian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Liga MX club Puebla on loan from Atlas.
He made his senior debuts for International Allies and was later promoted to Ghana Premier League in his first and only season. He signed a five-year contract with Serie A club in July 2013 after the club accepted an $800,000 bid from Udinese. He was also loaned to Granada CF, Andalusians until 2018 after he was assigned to the reserves in Segunda División B.
Clifford Aboagye made his professional debut as a substitute for Riki in a 1–2 home loss against Sevilla FC, for the campaign's Copa del Rey, and subsequently left the club on December 22nd the next year.
He signed a six-month loan with Liga MX side Club Atlas in January 2017.
International careerAboagye appeared with Ghana under-20s in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup and was named the Bronze Ball of the tournament as his side finished third.
