Elliot Divine Kwami Adjabeng was a Ghanaian Supreme Court Judge who served on the Supreme Court bench from 1995 to 2002.
He hails from Avatime in the Volta Region of Ghana. He was the youngest lawyer to become a judge in 1984 after serving as a lawyer for seven (7) years prior to his appointment to the bench.
On 22nd February 1995, he was appointed to the Supreme Court Bench by Jerry John Rawlings, former president of Ghana.
He served till October 2002 and resigned at the age of 64 on personal grounds.
He held a strong stance against the establishment of Fast Track Courts while serving on the bench of the Supreme Court. He stated that this would not be valid without an amendment of the High Court rules.
He stated that the rules used by the Fast Track Courts were different from that of the Supreme Court and that would undermine the Rule of Law.
