Kofi Asamoah a.k.a Kofas is a Ghanaian film director, writer, and producer as well as the Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director of Kofas Media, a Film, Television, and Advertising Production Company.

He was born in Assin Anyinabrem in Ghana's Central region and bred in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. He attended the Young Christian School for his basic education and the Mfantsipim School, where he was part of the debating team, for his Senior High School education. He then proceeded to the University of Ghana and the National Film and Television Institute, NAFTI, for a bachelor's degree in Film and Television Production with a major in Film Directing.

Kofi Asamoah also holds a master's degree in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and also studied filmmaking at the New York Fim Academy.

Career

He started off as a news reporter with Skyy Power FM/TV, where he became the voice of their reality show.

Kofi Asamoah 2012 wrote and produced his first film Boys Kasa. This movie featured Kalybos and Ahouf3 Patri, shooting them into the movie industry.

He won Best Movie Director at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.
